The iconic Ford GT 40 inspired us to create an original “Keystone GT Sporty”.
Not satisfied with merely replicating the low, lean, aggressive style of the race car, it was important that our project also honored the high performance aspects of the original Ford GT 40 as a purpose-built racing platform.
To accomplish this, the powertrain was upgraded with a Stage IV Race Kit, Heavy Breather Intake and a custom 2-into-1 exhaust fabricated in-house, the end result of which produced an increase of 17 ftlbs torque and an additional 45 horsepower.
In paying tribute to the long, low styling of the GT 40, the swingarm was lengthened an additional 3 inches. Clubman Handlebars were added to afford the rider a race-inspired seating position. A Quarter Fairing, Chin Spoiler and custom fabricated rear tail-section complete the overall look of the vehicle.
It has been an honor to work on such an inspiring project. Just as the Ford GT 40 took the world by storm from 1966 – 1969, the Keystone GT Sporty is poised to bring that same excitement to the Harley-Davidson® brand today.
