They visit Jim Thorpe’s Mauch Chunk Opera House on Saturday, December 18 having entertained enthusiastic, sold-out crowds with good old Follies-style dancing, knee-slapping comedy, sultry singing, and burlesque beauties performing modern and classic striptease.

Starting humbly in The Five Spot Nightclub in Philadelphia as a variety show created by the owner Phil Cohen, the Peek-A-Boo Revue grew rapidly. Beginning its run as an occasional Wednesday evening affair, PBR quickly became two shows every first Saturday, a new show freshly-minted each month.
The cast morphed into a tight-knit cast of friends, an ensemble of men and women capable of almost anything onstage. Their remarkable run was derailed in February 2007, as they witnessed the loss of their beloved Five Spot to a fire. The club’s true legacy, its support of creative diversity, and the nurturing of talent, lives on embodied by the Peek-A-Boo Revue.
Forced to find new venues, the group now performs at The World Cafe, The Tin Angel, and The Palace of Wonders in Washington DC (which held a monthly showcase for the group for a seven-month run). The group has been also booked for the annual Philadelphia Fringe Cabaret for the past 9 years.
With stars like Lulu Lollipop, Cherry Bomb, Louise L Tease, and Count Scotchula, The Peek A Boo Revue prides itself on a neo-burlesque mix of comedy, dance and song.
The group has performed for a wide-range of audiences over the years, and been attached to many high-profile events, festivals and causes :
